The escape room trend has caught the United States in its puzzling grip, growing from only 22 rooms in 2014 to over 2,300 today. Finally, this trend has made it down to us Aussies so we can be a part of the fun. The same set designers who built and ran Unreal Mini Golf in Penrith for over a decade have come together to bring this literally captivating experience to Sydney. Welcome to the Escape Bus! Hopping on is easy, it’s getting back out that’s the tricky part.

What is an Escape Room?
In a nutshell, you pay a guy some money, he locks you in a room, and you try to escape with your life. Sounds like a rollicking good time, right?
Ok, we’re only kidding, mostly. Escape rooms are totally safe experiences where you and a group of friends or family get put into a fun, immersive scenario where you have to solve a problem or puzzle to win the game and escape. Whether it’s date night, family bonding, or even coworker team building, escape rooms are exactly what you’re looking for.
Most escape rooms have some sort of theme, like in a movie, that puts you in a situation where you are fighting the clock to get out of the room before a plot-induced deadline. You could be escaping a zombie outbreak, solving your way out of a hospital or lab to avoid a spreading infectious disease, diffusing a bomb, investigating a crime before the killer shows up, or even doing a little super secret spy work while avoiding detection. The scenarios are endless.
We here at the Escape Bus took this escape room idea and applied our set design skills to give you a truly immersive experience. We put you in the movie. You and your team will have the chance to be the true heroes of the exciting stories we put together for you. Speaking of our scenarios…
Our Rooms
We put together two awesomely crafted rooms on our escape bus for you and your friends to solve. In both scenarios, you all will work together discovering clues and solving puzzles to complete your mission in less than 60 minutes.
Bunker
Nuclear energy. We thought it would solve the world’s energy needs and make the Earth a cleaner, safer place. Decades ago, the government operated secret bunkers for experimental nuclear research until they were decommissioned and tucked away under the cloak of history. Now, due to a national security risk, your team is being recruited to go down to bunker 2750 and bring it back to operational status. Are you up for the challenge?
Alcatraz
Oh, how crime doesn’t pay…or does it? Your gang messed with the wrong sheriff, getting caught and arrested for robbing a post office of an entire 16 dollars and 23 cents. Your sentence? 10 years on the notorious prison island of Alcatraz. American laws are rough, am I right? Lucky for you guys, you happen to be in the same cell that once held the notorious Al Capone…and he hid his brilliant escape plans somewhere within…
